The tradition of american patchwork, and in particular the quilts from Gees Bend, are the inspiration for my Spring 2018 Collection. The women who made these quilts made do with the materials at hand. This method of quilting has pushed me to cherish each textile and make do with the fabrics that are wasting away at local thrift stores. By combining methods of traditional quilting mixed with modern improvisational piecing, the garments offer a marriage between the classic and the contemporary.
